St Peter's Church, Shipton Bellinger, is a Church of England (Anglican) church with an inclusive, semi-rural tradition (the village isn't a pure rural village, after all!). Everyone, of all denominations, is very welcome to all our services.
The parish is part of a multi-parish benefice with the nearby villages of Kimpton, Fyfield, Thruxton and Appleshaw, all under a single Rector. There is a house-for-duty priest normally living at the vicarage in Shipton (currently Rev Stuart Kersley).
Services are held every Sunday at 8am and 10am.
The 8am service is normally read from the Book of Common Prayer.
The 10am service is sung and is from Order One in Common Worship, using contemporary language. Coffee and biscuits are available afterwards. The first Sunday of every month is normally a more informal Family Service. The fifth Sunday in every month is normally a Benefice service, where everyone in the benefice is invited to one of the five churches for a single, joint service.
