Despite the destructive nature of the flooding, residents on the High Street never lost their sense of humour. Here are shown some of the examples by those most affected. We start with the "Brookside Measure" which was used by many to see how far the floods had progressed... it's worth remembering that the bottom of the Bourne is at least 4' below the level of the bridges. We had a picture of "Nile View", but for some reason the link has disappeared... apologies!
