The Box: The start of it all

The Parish Council first examines the mysterious box. At the rear in the middle can be seen the Chariman at the time, Jean Hinde (wife to Col. Gerald Hinde) and to the right foreground can be seen a subsequent parish chairman, Tom Jennings.
